About this event

Join Capitol Land Trust for Second Saturdays at Bayshore Preserve as we explore the fascinating world of fungi that thrives all around us and often goes unnoticed. This guided outing introduces participants to the mushrooms and fungi that appear across the landscape as the rainy season arrives. Bayshore Trail Steward and Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society member Sable Burgess will lead the walk, sharing insights about the mushrooms that grow at Bayshore Preserve and the important role fungi play in forest and prairie ecosystems.
