🌲 Environment
The Port of Olympia will resume sediment sampling in Budd Inlet by late February or early March to measure contamination broadly, including near East Bay and West Bay.
The work follows an agreement with the Department of Ecology and costs $22 million + additional grant funds are sought.
🏛️ Government
Olympia City Council renamed three public spaces on Tuesday, Jan.
27 to honor civic leaders Bill Daley, Jolene Unsoeld and Marj Yung. The spaces will be known as Daley Art Center, Jolene Unsoeld Community Park (the city’s first park since the 1980s) and Marj Yung Park to celebrate their legacies.
