The Olympia City Council endorsed a proclamation on Tuesday, March 3, designating 2026 as the Budd Inlet Six – 50th Anniversary Year.
March 7 is now Budd Inlet Six Commemoration Day as residents and schools are urged to host educational events to honor the milestone.
