A wrong-way crash on I-5 near Olympia killed three people early Sunday morning when a car traveling in the wrong direction struck another near Scatter Creek Rest Area and later blocked the northbound lanes — officials urge drivers to use caution.

Olympia’s Sea Mart (opened in 1959) reused former Olympia Canning Company buildings to create a unique shopping center that later expanded under the Yard Birds name, offering goods from groceries to toys.

The store closed in 1993 (after 33 years in business) and is remembered as a distinctive downtown landmark.
