CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Global Studio Dance Party will be held on March 29 at the Olympia Armory Creative Campus (doors open at 7:30 p.m. with live music at 8 p.m.) with tickets costing $10 and proceeds benefiting the Luminary Procession closing ceremony; attendees may also tour the Procession studio below the dance space to view 30 years of iconic artwork. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Mike Webb, Gov. Ferguson's chief strategy officer, resigned on Wednesday after allegations he created a hostile work environment for some women — Gov. Ferguson later named Shane Esquibel as the interim chief of staff. FOX13
- ➤ Saint Martin’s University offered research support as Olympia moves forward with a study on the Workers’ Bill of Rights, which will examine minimum wage, fair scheduling and workplace safety for low-wage workers. City officials plan to use findings from the study — including local economic data and expert insights — to decide on potential municipal code updates in 2026. JOLT
