- ➤ Since opening in 2019, Lacey MakerSpace has served local artists, entrepreneurs and students by offering classes, improved equipment and hands-on volunteer opportunities. Director Michelle Pope said the space will add new partnerships with schools and local organizations and will host events like Fix-It Fair on April 16 and the Studio Tour on May 17—promising more creative learning experiences in the coming months. - ➤ Ziply Fiber and MasTec have begun installing fiber optic cables in an east side Olympia neighborhood south of 7th Avenue SE between Central Street and Boulevard Road SE to boost connectivity.
