- ➤ The City of Olympia launched an application for its 2026 Traffic Box Wrap project and invites local artists to submit one design by 11:45 p.m. on April 29. The top 10 designs will be reviewed, voted on, and installed later this summer or fall — awarding artists a $500 honorarium. JOLT
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Regular unleaded gas in Olympia moved closer to an all-time high as the average price reached $5.434 per gallon on Friday, April 3 + the rate remains 14 cents below the record of $5.571 set in June 2022 amid global supply concerns. JOLT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ South Puget Sound Community College was named one of the top 10 Military Friendly Schools for 2026-27 after meeting criteria for veteran support + the designation was announced on March 31 and the college will be featured in an April guide on MilitaryFriendly.com. JOLT
