Thurston County residents, businesses and nonprofits impacted by last winter's storms have until April 27 to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans through the SBA.
The loans cover property damage and economic losses, offering up to 30-year repayment terms with a 12-month grace period.
The City of Olympia has relaunched its Mayor for the Day contest, inviting local fourth, fifth and sixth grade students to submit a 250-word essay on ways to improve the community.
Entries must be emailed by May 8, and the chosen student will shadow Mayor Dontae Payne & earn a certificate of recognition.
Motorists face delays on Legion Way for a stormwater pipe connection tied to the Old Capitol Building Reroof project; construction runs 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday between Washington Street and Franklin Street.
The City advises drivers to seek alternate routes.
