- ➤ Many Father’s Day events will take place in Olympia and Thurston County—families will enjoy a Strawberry Festival at South Bay Grange on June 14 with free admission and parking, a Craft & Vendor Market at Capital Mall on June 14-15, and active dads will run a 1-mile race at Olympia High School on June 15 to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Additional events will include an air show in Tumwater, a woodworking class at Lacey Makerspace, a park picnic at Watershed Park, and a Swede Day Mid-Sommer Festival in Rochester on June 20-21.
