Camp Mercy at Olympia Union Gospel Mission opened in Sept.
2020 with five tiny houses built by a YouthBuild project funded by local Rotary clubs. The mission will soon finish repairs and site improvements costing about $42,000 to add 10 new houses in a semicircular layout + it has no plans for further expansion.
🎓 Education
Olympia School District is considering a new family engagement role to help staff support families after cutting five liaison positions amid budget woes—Superintendent Patrick Murphy said the role would offer training and resource sharing to boost student outcomes.
