- ➤ Residents in Olympia urged city officials to rethink changes to the Comprehensive Plan’s Land Use and Urban Design chapter after a public meeting on July 21 showed worries that a new urban residential zone may replace older homes with multi-unit buildings and small offices. The Planning Commission said they will discuss the plan further on Aug. 4—neighbors want clear rules to protect housing and community character. JOLT
