- ➤ The 24th Annual Born to be Wild Dinner and Auction will take place on September 26 at Saint Martin’s University Marcus Pavilion — more than 400 community members will join this fundraiser — to support local youth programs in Thurston County. ThurstonTalk
- ➤ On Saturday, Aug. 23, scores of people in downtown Olympia marched for immigrant justice after U.S. Army veteran Muhammad Zahid Chaudhry was detained by ICE during his citizenship interview. Local faith groups organized the peaceful rally and speakers urged the community to call for fair treatment and change—emphasizing that immigrant rights matter. JOLT
