A 30-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly shoplifted $875.48 of merchandise from Macy’s at Capital Mall on August 17—store staff said she briefly resisted capture and gave a false name that led to theft and identity charges.

The Homeless Services Advisory Board recommended $51,562.69 in emergency funds to repair the fire-damaged unit at Sandy’s Flats after a resident's fire in July left one unit uninhabitable.
