CULTURE NEWS

  • The 160-year-old St. John | San Juan Episcopal Church in Olympia was honored with the 2025 Gerry L. Alexander Annual Heritage Award for Outstanding Achievement and features stained glass medallions by Gabriel Loire along with a 3,800-pipe organ — a highlight of its rich history. Now the church faces urgent upgrades — including a new roof, seismic improvements and ADA fixes estimated to cost over $7 million.  JOLT

  • Capital High School boys football team defeated cross-town rival Olympia High School 33-27 in overtime on September 5 in the annual Spaghetti Bowl.
