- ➤ The City of Olympia will begin recruitment in October for vacant positions on advisory boards—these include spots on the Arts Commission, Cultural Access Advisory Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Heritage Commission. Staff will review current members’ plans and then screen candidates in January with interviews in February and March before the council appoints new members in April. JOLT
