- ➤ The Olympia Downtown Alliance announced that the Sylvester Park tree lighting ceremony will take place at Sylvester Park on Nov. 30 at 4:30 p.m.—white lights will cover park poles and the gazebo—while the tree is set to glow with multicolored lights as the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services follows the alliance's plan. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Intercity Transit presented its pilot hydrogen fueling and storage system to the Olympia Site Plan Review Committee on November 5 at its Pattison campus as part of its 20-year plan to convert its bus fleet to zero emissions—further studies including a fire protection review, updated wetland delineation, and a stormwater report will follow before the project advances. - ➤ The Capitol Lake Pump Station is set to undergo a major upgrade after the LOTT Clean Water Alliance approved a $1.3 million contract to Rognlin’s Inc. on November 12 — the work will start in December and continue until October next year. JOLT
