Olympia School District ended its 2024-25 school year with a fund balance of $8,857,455, about $1.32 million less than the previous year.
Executive Director of Business & Finance Kate Davis said expenses exceeded revenue by $1.3 million during a board meeting on Dec. 11.

The Low Income Housing Institute is seeking approval from local officials to adjust the mix at the Franz Anderson Permanent Supportive Housing Project at 527 Franz Anderson Road SE.
The new plan would shift 35 of 71 units to serve households up to 50% AMI as part of funding discussions.
