If you're headed to the coast, razor clam season finally starts. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife approved five days of digging at Copalis and Mocrocks from Saturday, Nov. 7, through Wednesday, Nov. 11. KOMO reports the season was first scheduled to start Oct. 9 on four beaches.

Long Beach and Twin Harbors stay closed until further notice because levels still exceed health guidelines. A beach needs two samples, taken seven to 10 days apart, below the safety threshold to open. A summer assessment found fewer clams at Copalis and Mocrocks, so expect fewer open dates there this season.
